MINNA: As Nigeria search for lasting solution to the incessant insecurity challenges, the Christian Association of Nigeria CAN Niger state has on Friday called on the federal government to improve the welfare of all security agencies.
Making this appeal during a familiarization visit to the Commissioner of Police, Niger State Command, CP Monday B. Kuryas at the Police Headquarters, Minna State, the CAN Chairman, Most Rev. Bulus Dauwa Yohanna appealed to Nigerians to continue to support the security agencies with prayers.

Most Rev Yohanna who is also the Catholic Bishop of Kontagora Diocese commended the Police and other security agencies for their roles in tackling the insurgency that have ravaged parts of the state.
According to him “I commend the entire security apparatus for your untiring efforts in tackling the insecurity.
“I want to appeal to the governments at all levels to improve the welfare of all security agencies and to equip them well so they can be well motivated to carry out their duties”.
The Bishop further urged Nigerians to continue to pray for the Police and other security agencies so that we can all overcome the insecurity challenges that have bedevilled the country.
In his remarks, the Commissioner of Police charged Christians to continue to pray for the nation and the Niger state.
Accordingly, he said “you should be vigilante, watch and pray for the security and unity of our country”.
